We had a telephone call from a woman who needed to learn exactly where her husband was. He had left her and the young children but had not given her a forwarding address. She told us that even though he came to see their kids as soon as a week he didn’t give her any dollars for them and without having an address for him she could not give his particulars to the CSA. He had changed his job when he left and she did not know where he was operating now. The only time she knew where he was was when he came to see the young children.
We decided that to discover exactly where he was living and working we should fit a tracking device to his car. This would tell us where he was staying and where he was working. The car belonged to our client so we could fit the device when he subsequent came to pay a visit to the youngsters. We suggested the device really should remain on the vehicle for two weeks. This would ensure a great pattern of movements from the car.
We found the details within the first week and with a few follow up phone calls confirmed the data was right. We removed the device following two weeks and our client could give the information towards the CSA. Our client then decided she wanted to know if he was cohabitating with another woman. We carried out surveillance on the residence address we had discovered for him. Following 3 sessions of six hour slots we had enough evidence of cohabitation for our client to take to her solicitor.
We have since identified out that she has filed for divorce on the ground of adultery and that he left her for this new woman. He has had to pay all of the arrears from the CSA.
